Migrating to Northsky

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Go to https://migrate.northsky.social/
2. Enter your Invite Code
3. Read and Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
4. Choose Migrate Existing Account
5. (Optionally) Backup Your Data
6. Enter your current Bluesky Username and Password
7. (Highly Recommended!!!) Create a Rotation Key
8. Save your Rotation Key in a Secure + Backed Up Location!
9. Choose your new .northsky.social handle, or continue using your custom domain handle.
10. Create a new password for your Northsky account.
11. Wait for your Repo (posts) and Blobs (media) to clone from Bluesky's servers to Northsky's servers.
    - Do not use Bluesky while the transfer is taking place.
    - This process will take longer the larger your account is!
12. Confirm the migration from Bluesky to Northsky with a PLC Key delivered to your E-mail. Input that key and continue.
13. Congratulations! You've migrated to Northsky's PDS!
14. Log out of your Bluesky account (it will display a deactivated warning when you return to it, you can ignore this and log out.)
15. Log in to Bluesky but select the custom server northsky.social and use your new username and password you set for Northsky.
16. Now you're ready to resume posting bangers, now on Northsky!
